SUISUN CITY — Mayor Lori Wilson is one of three speakers who this week will celebrate the 100th anniversary of women getting voting rights.
The virtual event begins at noon Friday. It’s hosted by the USC State Capital Center in Sacramento and League of California Cities Women’s Caucus.
The event will focus on the importance of women’s votes in California in the 2020 election and how women’s voting may effect election outcomes.
The other speakers are Assemblywoman Luz Rivas, D-Arleta, and Mindy Romero, founder and director of the Center for Inclusive Democracy. The moderator is Lois Takahashi, director of the USC Price School in Sacramento.
